| Comments: | Sunda Kelapi. What this photo doesn't show is the multitude of turds floating around the schooners. I spent half a hour sailing around in a very unstable boat hoping we didn't capsize and weren't shat on from above. |

| Comments: | It is Sunda Kelapa phinisi harbor. Initially a busy port of Sunda kingdom, an ancient Hindu Kingdom in West Java, it still carries its original function as a trading port. Ships in the pictures called phinisi, traditional Bugis schooners, some are built in Tana Berru, South Sulawesi and they are built without nails. |
