| Comments: | While assigned as a Mortuary Affairs Specialist in the U.S. Army, My job was to Search, Recover and Identify human remains from American Servicemen lost during the Vietnam war. While in Hanoi in 1996 I saw Ho Chi Mihn's remains laying in state. Twice a year the remains are shipped to the USSR for a "make-over" and then returned to the mausoleum. I wonder how such a small and poor country can afford this. "Uncle Ho" said before he died that his wishes were to be cremated and his ashes were to be spread upon the waters of the Mekong River. |
